2015 Window Treatments – Michigan

As we enter the new year, new trends in window treatments are predicted to rise in popularity. The following are a few treatment options that are expected to generate a lot of interest this year:

Green: As in ecological rather than the colour. According to Sally Morse and Jennifer Roth of Hunter Douglas one of the most important trends in the next year will green window treatments. Whether it comes in the form of cellular shades or bamboo weaves the green benefits of your window treatments will be a key selling point. Cellular shades will also fit in with the economic downturn as not only will they look good, but the superior insulation they offer should help ensure lower heating bills.

Organics: Following on from the green trend you should also expect to see more organic materials such as exposed wood. In fact, wooden blinds have been making a quiet comeback for several years, and 2012 is likely to be a particularly popular year. When buying wooden blinds you should look for FSC approved products to ensure that the wood is ethically sourced. Alternatively faux wood blinds will offer you the same stylish look, but for a far lower price.
